Our Trip to Monkey Joes

Our family took a trip to Monkey Joes this morning! (For free thanks to a coupon that Amy found in the mail and a gift card from Uncle Jon!) Everyone had a blast. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Monkey Joes, it is an indoor place for kids to play on a bunch of huge inflatibles. Most of the inflatibles were too complicated for Davis and we figured that would be the case going in. But we were excited going in to find out that there was a place designated for the smaller kids to play. We thought that would be a great place for Davis to have fun and not be overwhelmed or overrun by bigger kids. Davis had another idea though. Davis spotted a huge inflatible with basketball goals and field goals on the inside that had basketballs and footballs to play with. That's where he decided to spend most of his time (imagine that). Maddie on the other hand was determined to conquer all of the inflatibles. She thoroughly explored each one and even surprised both of us when she took on a very big and very steep slide. We weren't too concerned with her coming down, but going up was almost a completely vertical climb and if she fell backwards there was no stopping until she reached the bottom. But Maddie showed us the climb up and the slide down proved no problem for a three year old. Amy and I played some too (one of the advantages of having children under 4 - the parents get to go on the inflatibles too). Amy also saw a couple of Pre-K teachers that she used to teach with - they were on a field trip with their classes. That was fun catching up with them and introducing the kids to them. We stayed for about two hours and then departed with two crying children. Davis so exhausted he didn't know what else to do and Maddie having so much fun she didn't want to leave. So we promised to take Maddie back some other time for another round. Anyone interested in joining us?

Sure looks like fun, wish I could slide down that big slide.
