Hazel Sanders' wedding

The second weekend in December the kids and I met Mom and Dad in South Carolina for my second cousin's wedding. We got to see a lot of family that we do not get to see very often. It was a crazy, but fun weekend!
Here is some of our extended family - my Mom's sister, Tiger, her husband, Bob, their son Robbie, daughter Jessi and her boyfriend Sam.

Kallie all dressed up at the reception

The kids had a great time dancing!

One of the singers from the band picked up Kallie while she sang one of the songs and Kallie just looked at her.
Davis really wasn't sad..

Mimi and Poppa and their 3 grands.

We had fun, but we missed Daddy!

Christmas Cookie Playdate

The week of Christmas before family came into town we went over to the Moseley's for a Christmas Cookie play date. Laura Leigh provided the dough and some decorations and I brought a couple of cookie cutters and decorations. The kids decorated the cookies first and then we went up to play and had lunch and cookies for desert. It was a lot of fun! Thanks, Laura Leigh!
Not the greatest picture but here are Maddie and me in our matching aprons :)

Davis decorating with his favorite color :) He had been asking to decorate some gingerbread men, so this was perfect!

Maddie really got into the decorating and she impressed me!
Here are her cookies that she did all by herself!
Kallie and Micah - Kallie ate a cookie, but was more interested in Micah!

Church Christmas Party

The same weekend as the Davis family Christmas we also had our church Christmas party. We did a pot luck dinner and played White Elephant or Dirty Santa - whichever you call it. We had a lot of fun fellowshipping and meeting some new people as well. The kids played well and loved on Baby Max. And Baby Max rolled from his belly to his back for the first time that night! Max with Woody - Davis found Woody in Michelle's room and said he would share it with Max.
Kallie loving on Max

Davis also found Buzz and Michelle actually let Davis take Buzz and Woody home to "babysit" them until the following Wednesday night. This made Davis so excited!

The kids watching Max

This is my favorite one!

Joe and Michelle got Davis a set of Cars books that attaches to a push button section that makes noise. He loves them! Thanks Joe and Michelle!
Maddie and Faith playing Maddie's new princess Chutes and Ladders game. Thanks Joe and Michelle - it is perfect!
The spread! We had a ton of food - all very yummy and we got to take some home.

Davis Family Christmas

Each year we get together with Matt's extended family and have "Christmas" together - share a meal and goodies and exchange gifts. This year we hosted Davis family Christmas in Hickory. We snacked and opened gifts and then went to a local restaurant for lunch. It was lots of fun and the cousins had a great time playing together and opening gifts.

The kids helped bring the gifts in from the dining room into the living room

One of Maddie's gifts was the Beast doll who came with a removable head and underneath was the prince.
One of Davis's gifts was a Toy Story bowling set complete with a Buzz rug.
One of Kallie's gifts was a doggie that sings and tells you what body part you are touching

Faith Ashley got an Easy Bake Oven from the Johnsons - here she is hugging Aunt Lori - she has been asking for one for several years now.

Maddie got a new water bottle with "Madison" on it!

Thanking Aunt Lori for the water bottle

The room that we reserved at the restaurant had a fireplace that was great for pictures.

Meeting Baby Lucy

We have a new cousin and niece! Matt's brother, Adam, and his wife, Sommer, had a little girl on December 8th after a long labor and delivery! She was born on Wednesday, but we went down to Charlotte on Thursday to meet her. She is precious and we got to spend some good time with her before we had to come back home.
So excited that we got to see her eyes while we were there!

Meeting cousin Lucy!

We are so excited for Adam and Sommer and look forward to watching Lucy grow up and the cousins grow up together!
