Happy Birthday Faith Ashley!

Maddie went to her cousin Faith Ashley's 6th birthday party in June. It was a tea party birthday at her mom's house. Here is the table set all fancy for the tea party.
When we first arrived we went out back and the girls decorated crowns with stickers and jewels.

The birthday girl!
Getting blind folded and spun to play "Put the princess in the castle"
Seeing where she put it - she actually did pretty well.
Notice her arm - she has an arm full of princess silly bands that her friend Claire gave her. The new craze with kids and adults of all ages!
Special guest Cinderella came to have the tea party with the girls.

Trying the tea - it was actually hot, so Maddie was not a big fan - but she did very well trying it. "Cinderella" actually explained to the girls about tea and scones and having a formal tea.
Eating the yummy strawberry scones. These were a hit and Maddie still talks about scones. There is a Farmer's Market here in Hickory and one of the booths sometimes has samples of homemade scones and Maddie loves them.

A Night at Carter Finley

In mid June we went as a family to Carter Finley Stadium for a family fun night. For the first part there were inflatables around the concourse, as well as places to get tattoos and meet Mr. Wuf. We never did see Ms. Wuf. It was kind of last minute that we decided we were definitely going, so I did not have the kids decked out in their red State paraphernalia as I should have.
Football players helped the kids at one of the inflatables and cheerleaders at another.

Maddie loved the big inflatable and the slide - Davis was a little intimidated.

Had to have our picture taken with Mr. Wuf - really wanted to get him to hold Kallie or have someone take a picture of the whole family, but we were pressed for time as they were trying to get us all down on the field.
Having a picnic supper on the field at Carter FinleyDocumenting this special occassion.

Running on the field!! Davis would really have had a ball if he was a little older and could have thrown a football on the field.
Matt took Davis to take pictures of him on the wolf right outside of the tunnel where all of the players come out on game days. They actually touch this wolf on their way out. Looks kind of creepy to me.

What we watched "Madagascar"on.
Enjoying our picnic dinner - thankfully the weather was not too bad.
Enjoying the movie
Sweet Baby Kallie

I think they were getting tired of having their picture taken...

We really did have fun that night making memories.

Sad Goodbyes

After Super Summer Adventure on the last day a big group of us went to lunch at Chickfila. Cheryl and I stayed around a little longer because we knew this was when our kids would have to say goodbye to each other since I would be taking Maddie and Davis to my mom's that Sunday. Here are some pictures of them hugging their friends - they look happy, but believe me they were sad. And the mommies cried all the way home because our hearts broke for our children and we would miss our playdates as well.

Super Summer Adventure

We had Super Summer Adventure at Providence in June. We met from Monday through Thursday. I helped with the one year olds and did the music with another girl for the ones and twos. My friend Cheryl shared a few pictures that she had taken and I stole one from my friend Amy's blog.
Here is Maddie with her friend Claire - they were excited to be in the same class.

Playing a water relay carrying a cup full of water from one container to another.
Playing in the playroom with friends after an indoor picnic lunch.

Davis in music time. We still sing some of the songs we learned in SSA.
Davis with his buddy Luke in music time. It was a fun week, but kind of sad since we knew we would be leaving these friends soon.

Our 9th Anniversary

On June 16th Matt and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary! Hard to believe. We went out on a date to dinner at Winston's and desert at Cheesecake Factory thanks to some gift cards and our friends the Williams watched the kids for us. Thank you again. We had fun and the kids had a blast! I stole some pictures from Amy's blog to show you what the kids were up to.
Here is us 9 years happy!
