Cow Appreciation Day

This was our 3rd year dressing like cows for free chicken! It is all day long, so this year I took advantage of this :) For lunch I took the kids to the mall Chickfila here in Hickory and was very impressed by all they had going on. There of course was the cow - so glad that none of my kids are afraid of people dressed up! Decorations, cake, face painting, balloon art and of course the FREE FOOD! Here are some pictures from lunch.
It looks like Kallie was crying, but she was laughing!

I was very impressed with the talent of the girl doing the face painting
but extremely impressed with the balloon artist!
Davis with his monkey climbing the tree
Maddie with her beautiful rainbow.

For dinner we went to the stand alone Chickfila in Hickory (pretty much across the street from the mall). Matt went with us and our friend Jamie met us and then later Brad and Brandy.
Family cow portrait - should this be our Christmas card ;)
Kallie was very interested in the ice cream! She was really into pointing at this time and after the kids' ice cream cone was gone she started really pointing to this older man who had an ice cream cone. We explained what was going on and he thought it was pretty funny.
What a cute little cow - she did great keeping that hood on
Brad and Brandy - cool cows
Davis with Jamie. He was borrowing her nose - see how it takes up over half his face!
There were tents outside and a bounce house, but it started raining when we got there so they had to take it down before we could enjoy it. The kids were disappointed at first, but then they just went in the play area and were fine.
